Dr. Luis Suarez, Director of the AKBS Social Community Program, was appointed cultural ambassador of Machu Picchu and Ollantaytambo (Peru).

Suarez will promote the Inca Culture and attractions of one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World such as Machupicchu. The Municipality of Machupicchu appointed Luis Suárez Hernández as International Cultural Ambassador to the United States. The designation was made official by Mayoral Resolution No. 85-2022 and the delivery of the “Ambassador of Machupicchu Medal” in a ceremony presided over by the Mayor of the District Municipality of Machupicchu Darwin Baca León on April 11, 2022 in the Plaza de Armas of that district.
Dr. Luis Suarez, has extensive experience in International Relations and has visited countries in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, promoting cultural and educational exchange, which will be of great importance to promote the tourist attractions of Cusco, especially Machupicchu and can reach Peru more foreign visitors and encourage economic recovery through tourism.

Suarez arrived in Peru with an important delegation from the United States, Manuel Cid – Mayor of the City of Miami Lakes, Manuel Jacob Cid – Student and Representative of the Horeb School, Joseph Luis Sosa – Chief of Staff of the Mayor of the City of Miami Lakes , Dayamy Rodríguez – Executive Director / Founder of Suarez Museum of Natural Science & History / Ambassador of Mochica Sumpa (Ecuador), Ambassador / Diplomat of NOEH / UN and Executive Director of Suro Global Corp, Ariel David Gómez López – Professor of Broadcasting Academy and Telecommunications at Mater Lakes Academy, Anthony Clyde Andenoro – Executive Director / Chancellor of the Institute for Ethical Leadership at St. Thomas University, Luis Pérez – Academy Professor of Broadcasting and Telecommunications at Mater Lakes Academy and Alberto Alejandro Saez Luzardo – Academy Professor of Broadcasting and Mater Lakes Academy Telecommunications.
Likewise, the Mayor of Miami Lakes, Manuel Cid and Darwin Baca, mayor of Machupicchu, signed municipal twinning agreements, for their part, the representatives of the Institute for Ethical Leadership of St. Thomas University, also signed a Cultural and Educational exchange agreement. As part of this agreement, the Inca Pachacutec School will benefit from an interactive closed circuit equipment, where students will be able to receive classes from the United States.

“For us it is an honor that you, friend Luis Suarez, are the Ambassador of our district and bring the knowledge of our culture and make strategic alliances with other countries of the world, we are sure that we will be very well represented by you in the countries visit, our people will greatly appreciate it and I want you to always carry the affection of our people in your heart”, Mayor Darwin Baca León said at the official ceremony, presenting him with the Ambassador of Machupicchu Medal and declaring Suarez Distinguished Visitors.
During the visit to Cusco – Peru, the delegation of visitors from Miami Lakes also visited the district of Ollantaytambo, where Cultural and Educational Twinning agreements were signed, to promote tourism and education, Laptops were delivered as a donation to the Institution Inka Wayna Qhapaq Secondary School of the Huilloc Community.

On the other hand, the Suares Museum of Natural Science & History Foundation gave donations to the residents such as coats, hats, clothes, toys, masks, glasses, nebulizers, pampers, shoes, etc., and promised to continue helping and supporting tourism towards the Cusco, especially Machupicchu and Ollantaytambo.

Mayor José Ríos Coronel thanked the Miami delegation, especially Luis Suarez and Mayor Manuel Cid, for visiting his district, delivering donations and being a promoter of tourism throughout the world, “I thank Luis Suarez, Mayor Manuel Cid for for their visit and for the presents they have brought us, but we are sure that we will continue working together to strengthen the ties of friendship and municipal twinning, also to Mrs. Dayamy Rodríguez and Mónica Canales for being managers of this important visit to our town”, he said the mayor of Ollantaytambo, José Ríos Coronel.
It is not the first time that Luis Suarez visits Peru, he has already done so on several occasions, reaching different regions bringing donations and cultivating the twinning between the cultures of Peru and the United States, the Peruvian people recognize him as a brother and keep a special affection in their hearts, which he has conquered with his special humility and affection towards all the Peruvians he visits.
