Dr. Luis Suarez Hernández, Director of AKBS Social Community Program is been recognizes In the previews of the Santa Tecla Palace in La Libertad Sur, international personalities were recognized for their contribution and support to the environment.
On Friday, November 17, the World Day of the Latin American Environmentalist was celebrated, and that same night the recognitions of both organizations such as the Suarez Museum of Natural Science & History, Aproaves and Funema were celebrated with a flourish.
The event began with the beautiful voice of Génesis Rivera singing the national anthem of the Republic of El Salvador. Next, the Santa Tecla Academy of Fine Arts danced a beautiful folk dance accompanied by their typical costumes. We also had the pleasure of listening to the unique melody of saxophonist Damaris Castaneda.
The awards were presented to the distinguished visitors, such as Ambassador Dr. Luis Suárez Hernández, Dr. Dayamy Rodriguez both from Suarez Museum of Natural Science & History, Limber Antonio Redondo De Armas from Funema International, Jose Edgardo Kamen Mejía from Aproaves, Dr. Juan Carlos Borrero Plaza – World Water Scientist,
Henry Flores – Mayor of the Municipality of Santa Tecla, Rosie Rivera – Trustee of the Municipality of La Libertad Sur, Dr. Danna Border Brown – Presidential Commissioner of the Environment in Honduras, Carlos Taiff Sandoval Reyes – Ambassador of Honduras in El Salvador and Edwin Giovanni Benabidez.
The guests debuted delicious cuisine from Don Gere’s Curves.
Ambassador Luis Suárez Hernández thanked everyone present for supporting El Salvador on that unforgettable day for all Latin Americans to protect and promote care for the environment internationally.
