Mayor Fernando Banderet of the City of Añelo received Ambassador Dr. Luis Suárez Hernández from the United States, who for the first time visited a city that he considers of great importance.
Suarez stressed that his visit was for a business function with the objective of learning about the needs of the province of Neuquén.
Suarez has a wide portfolio of investors and large companies interested in working with him to continue and develop projects that benefit Neuquén.
Ambassador Suárez expressed his gratitude to Mayor Fernando Banderet for his welcome, tour of the city of Añero and all his attention.
Suarez also had the opportunity to accompany Neuquén rally driver Luis Beltran of the Cat. RC5 on a spectacular lap full of adrenaline.

Añelo is a town located in the Añelo department in the central-east of the province of Neuquén, in Argentine Patagonia. It is the head of the homonymous department.
It is located 100 km north of the provincial capital, on the left bank of the Neuquén River. Between the river and the fence a valley is formed that serves as the seat of the town and through irrigation it has been possible to use the land for farming.
It limits to the north with the Pehuenches department, to the east with the province of Río Negro, to the south with the departments of Confluencia and Zapala and to the west with those of Loncopué and Picunches.
A few kilometers away is the Cerros Colorados Hydroelectric Complex, which regulates the flow of the Neuquén River through the Portezuelo Grande dam.
Within the nearby geography of the walls, there is the rock formation of Los Pilares or Monigotes, approximately 25 meters high.
In the area where the town is located there was a fort to defend the Argentine campaign called Conquest of the Desert, from 1879 to 1883, then it was officially founded on October 20, 1915.
The Post and Telegraph office is still standing in an adobe ranch that dates back to 1880.
