Mayor Fernando Banderet of the City of Añelo received Ambassador Dr. Luis Suárez Hernández from the United States, who for the first time visited a city that he considers of great importance.

Suarez stressed that his visit was for a business function with the objective of learning about the needs of the province of Neuquén.

Suarez has a wide portfolio of investors and large companies interested in working with him to continue and develop projects that benefit Neuquén.

Ambassador Suárez expressed his gratitude to Mayor Fernando Banderet for his welcome, tour of the city of Añero and all his attention.

In the area where the town is located there was a fort to defend the Argentine campaign called Conquest of the Desert, from 1879 to 1883, then it was officially founded on October 20, 1915.

The Post and Telegraph office is still standing in an adobe ranch that dates back to 1880.
