Meshari Al-Khaled has been appointed as S&P Global Ratings’ Managing Director and Office Head for its Saudi Arabia Branch since February 2017.

Meshari was previously the Head of Service Sector Development at the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) responsible for developing value- add investment opportunities and related incentives for attracting local, regional and international investors to the sector. Prior to this role, Meshari was the Regional Director for Asia & Australia region and based in Singapore for more than 6 years to oversee the development and growth of the region’s FDIs into Saudi Arabia and to also maintain strong G2G relationships with the region’s government entities.

Before joining SAGIA, Meshari spent 10 years working with SHB/ABN Amro Bank with a particular focus on Corporate/Structured Finance and Loan Syndications. His previous assignments were Corporate and Structured Finance Manager in which he helped start-ups and privately-owned companies raise funds through Debt and Equity Capital Markets. He established and managed the bank’s investment banking unit and participated in finalizing a large number of corporate restructuring, debt issuance and M&A transactions for both local and international companies.

Meshari holds a double degree in International Marketing, Finance & Accounting from Hanze University in the Netherlands.
