The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan presents its compliments to the EST Group and FSG Global and has the distinguished honour to extend a formal invitation to Your Excellency, Mr. Patrick Flanagan and Dr. Sindhu Bhaskar, to attend the International Conference on Food Security, organized jointly with the Food and Agriculture Organization.
This event aims to bring together global leaders and experts to shed light on the existing challenges and opportunities for the development of agrifood systems to enhance food security, and to mobilize the attention of the international community toward addressing this critical issue.
The Conference will be held in the historic city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from 7th to 8th September 2023. It will serve as a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among policymakers, experts, academics, and industry leaders.
The event is highly significant as it will conclude with the adoption of the Samarkand Declaration on Food Security, which will serve as the key document arising from this esteemed gathering.
The Ministry sincerely hopes that Dr. Sindhu will be able to accept our invitation and join us in Samarkand for this conference. His participation will contribute significantly to their collective efforts in promoting food security and sustainable agrifood systems on a global scale.
