The President / Chief Curator of the Suarez Museum of Natural Science & History, Advisory Board Netuork Latam and Director of AKBS Social Community Program – Professor Dr. Luis Suárez Hernández visited the Añelo Patagonian Desert Museum.

Dr. Suarez met with Lic. Dominica dos Santo and Dr. Juan Porfiri, both paleontologists from the National University of Comahue and the Patagonian Desert Museum of Añelo / Neuquén, Argentina.

The museum is an alternative to learn about the paleontology of the Patagonian region. It is located on streets 1 and 6 of Añelo, less than 100 meters from the route that leaves Añelo for Plaza Huincul.

The directors of the Museum gave a tour to the international guests from the United States and Ecuador together with the Mayor of the City of Añelo Fernando Banderet, who were able to observe the laboratory and a petrified forest of large trees. Dr. Suarez was able to interact with paleontologists in cleaning a fossil.

The exhibitions show the characteristics of the town of Añelo, which is the heart of Vaca Muerta with its biological, historical, geological and cultural features.

In the museum they will give you a tour that tells the peculiarities of the paleontological work carried out in the area. Crocodiles, dinosaurs, fish with lungs, amphibians, eggs and footprints are some of the treasures that this museum protects.

Admission is free and is open Monday and Tuesday from 10 am to 2 pm and Wednesday to Sunday from 12 pm to 7 pm.

Dr. Luis Suárez Hernández thanked and congratulated the Museum for its welcome, professionalism and attention.
